As an independent charity Club Rainbow does not receive any financial help from the Government or other agencies. We rely totally on donations from philanthropic corporations and caring individuals to sustain our programmes. Each year we need to raise over $1 million to finance our mission. We firmly believe in being transparent in all our dealings. To give you a better idea how funds are used, please click here to read a letter to donors from Gregory Vijayendran, President of Club Rainbow.

As Club Rainbow grew, there was a pressing need to develop our physical infrastructure. In January 2007 we started operations in our new  Rainbow Family Care Centre (RFCC). This purpose-built centre is now the focal point of our current and future activities.

Donations by Credit Card or Cheque
If you would like to make a donation, please issue a crossed cheque payable to “Club Rainbow (Singapore)”. Kindly mail your cheque to P.O. Box 447 Orchard Post Office Singapore 912315. The Rainbow Challenge
In September 2005, Club Rainbow launched the Rainbow Challenge for various individual supporters to help raise awareness and funds through challenging programmes.

Corporate Donors
Companies can also conduct their own fundraising drives with Club Rainbow as the beneficiary. Let us know your ideas and we’ll be glad to work with you.

A number of companies have also organised special events just for our Rainbow Children and their families. If your company would like to know more about organising such programmes, please click here.

Do bear in mind that certain fundraising activities will require a police permit. For more information on licensing requirements, please visit http://www.spf.gov.sg/licence

You could also involve our Rainbow Children and their families in your own corporate functions. If you are planning a Family Day or example, you may wish to consider extending an invitation to our families to join you.

Schools & Students
Club Rainbow is honoured to work with a number of schools and groups of individual students. Despite their young age and limited resources, they have made significant contributions to the charity not just in terms of raising funds but also creating greater awareness of the charity and the needs of our Rainbow Children.

One hurdle facing many of our Rainbow Children concerns acceptance from their peers. Because of their medical problems, some of our children may find it difficult to take part in certain activities in school. As a result, they tend to feel left out. As teachers and students you can help in various ways. Click here to read a letter from the President of Club Rainbow to the students of Singapore.

Students, if you would like to organise a fundraising event for Club Rainbow, we hope you find the information you need in our Young Ambassadors Programme. You will also be able to see what other groups of students have done.

A word about your donation and taxes

Ironman with soft spot for kids

Money broker Terry Walsh (above), 39, is pushing his body to the limit for charity. The Singapore permanent resident is drumming up support and, hopefully, cash for chronically ill children here by taking part in the 'Wimbledon' of Ironman competitions in Hawaii next month.

The Ironman Triathlon World Championship will see about 1,700 athletes worldwide complete a marathon, a 180km cycle ride and a 3.9km swim.

Said Mr Walsh: “I'm very fortunate and blessed to have my health, while the kids at Club Rainbow are fighting for their lives.”

Hence, his desire to do his bit for around 420 children at Club Rainbow, a charity that helps families with children suffering from chronic and life-threatening illnesses. The charity is now raising funds for a new one-stop centre that will provide counselling and other resources for sick children and their families.
