A: Club Rainbow Singapore is a charity registered as an independent non-profit organisation in 1992. We provide compassionate relevant services to children suffering from chronic and life-threatening illnesses and their families.
Q: Who can join Club Rainbow?
A: Singapore citizens and permanent residents from 0 to 20 years old with chronic illness.
Q: How many beneficiaries does Club Rainbow have?
A: We are currently helping more than 500 children and their families.
Q: How much funds does Club Rainbow need annually?
A: We need to raise over S$2 million annually. Our charity relies totally on public donations.
Q: Who manages Club Rainbow?
A: Club Rainbow is headed by a Management Council of volunteers who are professionals in diverse fields including medicine, law, financial management and education; together with our Executive Director.
Q: Does Club Rainbow work with any hospitals?
A: We work closely with the National University Hospital, KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital and the neonatal ward of the Singapore General Hospital. All the children are referred to us by doctors.
Q: What services does Club Rainbow provide?
A: We provide emotional, informational, educational, social and financial support to our beneficiaries – the children and their families.
Q: Are there any charges?
A: All our core services are free.
Q: Is there tax exemption for my donation?
A: Club Rainbow has Institution of Public Character (IPC) status. All monetary donations qualify for double tax exemption benefits.
