Club Rainbow (Singapore)'s first and largest event of the year saw more than 900 participants enjoying a day of great fun, interaction and bonding!
Held at the Singapore Zoo, more than 120 of our Rainbow families turned up for the event, which is themed around "Health & Wellness" to inculcate the importance of healthy living and encourage the culture of being active in their lifestyle choices. Co-organising the event with Hwa Chong Institute The Artemis Faculty for the first time, the beneficiaries and families had the opportunities to participate in key activities such as the Fun Walkathon around the Zoo and sports-themed game booths at the carnival.
The event allowed for bonding within the families and also between families through the fun activities. Befrienders, comprising volunteers from the faculty and other institutional and corporate volunteers, accompanying the families strongly encouraged interaction and hence providing the opportunity for our beneficiaries to hone social skills and build self-confidence.
46 beneficiaries were also presented the Education Awards in recognition of their academic progress and achievements!
