With overwhelming response from last year's retreat event on board the Royal Caribbean Mariner of the Seas cruise, Nautica Fantasia is back once again this year 2015!
86 families, a 20% increase from last year's event, were given the opportunity this time round to sail on a relaxing and enriching 4-day, 3-night cruise to Port Klang, Malaysia. Day 1 started off on an emotional and motivational note, with some of our Advisory Board and Management Council Members leading the way for beneficiaries, caregivers, parents and other family members to share words of encouragement and appreciation. After the BRIDGE ceremony to celebrate the milestone achievement by our graduating beneficiaries, the audience were deeply touched and inspired by the candid sharing by selected families on their life journey with their children.
There were more sharing, interactions and bonding on Day 2 at the Parents' Workshop, while the children had loads of fun through specially-tailored activities at a separate venue. General feedback fro parents is that they found the workshop enriching, and at the same time, found out more about what others are going through and that they are not alone in their life journey. This session has created an excellent platform for families to rekindle and strengthen old friendships while fostering new ones where they could seek support and solace.
The families thoroughly enjoyed the myriad activities on board; ice-skating, shows, parades and photo-taking opportunity with Dreamworks characters, shopping on board and more shopping at AEON Bukit Tinggi Shopping Mall when the ship docked at Port Klang on Day 3.
